We kennen het allemaal. Beroerde lichtomstandigheden in een sporthal, kerk, bedrijf, etc. Een normale, goede en betrouwbare witbalans maken is lastig en veelal ontbreekt de tijd en de vaardigheid hiervoor. De EXPODISC is het ultieme hulpmiddel die u een perfecte witbalans bezorgt in de meest kritische lichtsituaties en u dus het perfecte plaatje bezorgt. Via de custom witbalans- instelling op uw digitale camera maakt u een opname met de Expodisc ervoor die u opslaat en daarna gebruikt als witbalans. Binnen enkele seconden heeft u dus een optimale witbalansinstelling. Deze tool voorkomt een aantal problemen die u tegen komt bij het gebruik van een grijskaart, wit vel en andere calibratiekaarten zoals: onhandige grootte, ongewenste reflectie, onjuiste hoek en de moeilijkheid om een beeldvullende opname te maken. Ook kunt u gemakkelijk zien of er zich stof of vuil op de sensor bevind. Dus geen moeilijke nabewerking meer achteraf welke zorgt voor kwaliteitsverlies van uw opname. Even the best digital cameras are incapable of consistently delivering accurate color without the user performing a custom white balance. Auto (AWB) and preset white balance functions often produce maddeningly inconsistent results. Images shot without a correct white balance may have unnatural looking red, yellow or blue tints that are time consuming and difficult, if not impossible to correct.
Recognizing the importance of custom white balance to good color, digital camera manufacturers have designed their cameras to take advantage of a custom white balance. A custom white balance calibrates the camera to the exact color temperature of light illuminating the subject.
